My bad, I forgot this was English class.

    You took an English class?

    You took an English class?

    Clearly, not in a while.

Though it is interesting how nearly every single response to a poorly written and punctuated post is a reference to an English class. Perhaps it all stems from some misguided rebellion against a too-strict schoolmarm/Catholic nun? Some repressed memories simmering below the surface? "You can't make me use a comma, you're not my mother! I'll ignore syntax and sentence structure if I feel like it!"

The Irish have been drinking long before I came about and they will continue to drink long after I have parted from this earth.

You mean responses by the original OPs?

I think that as a comeback from an original poster the English class reference serves the same rhetorical purpose as: "You object to my lynching joke? How PC!"

Hit a deer saturday night (or it hit us, to be more accurate).

Today, the sink and dishwasher won't drain. Sigh.

Oh yeah, the cold I was getting over has now blown into a serious sinus problem. And I think I'm getting bronchitis.

Come on, don't you know better than to try to put a deer carcass down the disposal?

e.e. cummings made something of a career with that mindset. Well, he had a bit of talent, too.

People who talk at and over you, who also ask for your opinion, but really don't give a shit.

Thank Jeebus and the boob lady I'm really good at ignoring people.
