Speaking of being bothered by our kids (directly or indirectly)...

Our kids had a half day today and the oldest went into our downtown to get lunch and go to a movie with some friends. My wife just asked if I knew when we were supposed to pick her up and I said I did not, but I was making myself some coffee so I was sure she would text that she was ready to get picked up as soon as I sat done.

I sat down in the den with my coffee to answer some emails and sure enough, not even two minutes later, I get the inevitable text, "I'm done. Can you come get me?"

She's also in the winter musical at her high school and all the other days this week they had rehearsal scheduled until 5:45 PM. Each day I sat down in a chair in our living room with a cup of coffee at like 5:00 PM and would immediately get a text that she was done early and ready to be picked up. Every. Single. Time.

I can only assume she is also of the age where any friendly inquries about her activities are met with righteous annoyance? That must surely add to the pleasure :)

My daughter is 13. There is no such thing as a "friendly inquiry" about her activities.
That's already true for my 2 year old.

Exactly the quality I'd expect
The headline is incredibly misleading. The issue is related to their production by the French mint, not the Chaumet design. I couldn't care less about the reputation of LVMH, but it is shoddy journalism to put that headline on the piece and also for the piece not to mention the actual cause of the issue until the very end.

The tarnish is actually one of the greatest contributors to its durability.
