It really bothers me when people write
“Alter” when they mean “Altar”

If it were someone disguised as a priest which would it be, his alter ego or his altar ego.

Or if a priest secretly said mass at another church that wasn’t his own, he could be said to have an alter altar ego

If he did something inappropriate, did he alter an altar boy?

But that’s the right way to spell “alter cocker” (Yiddish for “old fu(ker”)

You should include that in your calligraphy practice with "mumbo jumbo"

I’m not hopeful and Texas has me hibbeldy gibbeldy, but Go Blue!

My wife and her cousin are at The Big House for the game today. I happily gave up my ticket to watch from the comfort of my couch and not have to deal with the crowds.

Funny- my wife is a UT alumni and we are not at all hopeful either. We, too, will be watching from the comfort of the couch.

I imagine you folks had a better viewing experience. At least the wings I made were good and the beer was cold and the weather was nice enough that I was able to get a good nap with the patio doors open during halftime.

I went for a run early this morning and impasses a few houses where I could see smoke coming up like their furnaces were on. It was like 48° out but sunny and felt way to early in the season to use the furnace.

Then I got home and saw smoke rising from my chimney and could hear my furnace running when I got inside. 😡

This might definitely be the earliest ours has ever turned on.
