I've been ghosted . . . by my plumbing company. A plumber stopped by to look at my leaky bathtub faucet. He diagnosed the problem as a cartridge that needed replacing, and told me that someone from his company would call a few days later to arrange a schedule for ordering the cartridge and installing it in my faucet. That was two months ago. I have called twice for a status update and was told that the plumber who made the initial diagnosis would get back to me. Nothing happened. Now I'm in the position of giving them an ultimatum or just moving on with another company and starting the process over again.

It's a stem valve.
Cheap part, and a 10 minute fix for someone that knows what they're doing.
You DO need to shut off the water while replacing it though.

Have you tried offering to get "stuck under the sink"?

Was there on the weekend. 102 in Texas is way better than 92 in Georgia, with 30% lower humidity. Didn't call you because you suck.

But remember Texans are the biggest whiners, so you need to factor that in.
