So my mom's side of the family has really gotten into Facebook over the last several months. My mom is the only one of us who doesn't have an account and I commend it for it. It's unsettling to get friend requests from her forty and fifty something sisters who barely acknowledge my existence when I'm physically in the same room as them.

I hate it when people borrow my stuff and never return it or let their other friends borrow it! there's this person who borrowed my pink overcoat and she said she'll return it the next week but she never returned it and worse, i see her FB pics and she wears my jacket whenever she goes barhopping. it's been a year now since she borrowed it from me and i still haven't gotten it back. and btw, i've only used that coat 2 times!! hhhhhmpp!

Douglas, consider seeing a neurologist who specializes in headaches. Migraines are awful.

Whenever something goes even vaguely wrong with the electronics in her house my mother calls me and I am expected to intuitively know what is wrong and tell her how to fix it. "The picture on the television is funny" or "my email won't send." and she is always so bad tempered about the whole thing.

I ordered a hardcover copy of Gore Vidal's "United States: Essays 1952-1992" but they sent a softcover. I don't know whether I should bother sending it back.

College students on spring break having a loud late-night party. Ugh. I maybe got four hours of sleep. In our condo you can't trace sounds to their origin very well, so I couldn't even find them to tell them to stfu.

Some of the complaints you voice are funny to me, Conne, and I pick on you a lot for your idiosyncrasies. In this case, however, I agree with you; I would send it back. At the very least I would contact the seller. There's a pretty big difference between softcover and hardcover, and it would bug me if I ordered the latter and got the former.
