Damned phone messages where people turbo through their return number. Do you want me to call you back or not? Worst when they leave a longass message and then just run through it at the very end and you've gotta listen to the whole damned thing over again just to make sure you have it right.
I really hate this. Callers that race through both their name and number so fast that I have no clue as to who is calling or how to return the call.

i lost my cashmere scarf that someone brought me from scotland [IMG] i never lose things! wtf!

car stolen 3 weeks ago,+ liability insurance + cops can only do so much = completely fucked in terms of transportation

Being without a car= getting dropped off/waiting for rides/taking the bus

its exactly like being 16 except theres less homework, and less acne.

that sucks! i got my car stolen awhile back and they found it like a week later on some random street - crackheads took it for a joyride and stole my halloween costume from the trunk.

i eventually sold it, and take the bus now and its smelly and annoying. i feel your pain! asking for rides and stuff.. bleh.

Have to translate a PowerPoint presentation. English takes up more space than Japanese = formatting nightmare. [IMG]

My sleep pattern has gotten seriously fucked - I now stay up until about 3am and get up around 1pm, simply because I can't really find a good reason to get out of bed. Ugh.

Also, teh depresshunz. When does this shit end.

use melatonin, helps induce the REM cycle

i also downloaded ''deep sleep'' app from i tunes....bloody hypnotises me, and i even used it on my 7yr old daughter

Can you return? The Readynas is still my favorite newest toy. It interfaces with my TiVo seamlessly too.

I think I can. I might go for the ReadyNAS after all - it will cost more but should do a lot more too.

yup, know that feeling. VNese takes up more space than English, so we get clients sending us these beautifully formatted things with flying boxes and tables and spinny charts and so on, and we're like...option A, a mess, option B tiny font illegible on a screen. Pain in the ass.

Exactly. PP is a clusterfuck even at the best of times. Gonna let the guy who gave me this one fuss with the formatting.

Check out the whole NetGear NAS line up. Having 1 TB in RAID is just fine for me. Also have a couple external USB drives hooked up to it, that I had in use prior to buying this. The NAS is just for stuff I never, ever want to lose, like pics. It's just one piece in a very redundant back up scheme I have. Plus, like I said, it has some other very good features, like dropping pics in a directory and sending out an email to people with permission to view it, with the server software creating a nice website for viewing.

When someone blatantly lies to you by telling you something and going and doing something completely different, and you find out about it later.

    I hate people.

Not enough drive bays for me unless you're talking about the 3200. [IMG] Those types of things are loud though so until i own a house and have a basement where I can put all my loud always-on gear, I'm probably gonna stick to building an iSCSI target based on PCs running in a large tower because it's a) much more economical b) I can make sure it's a very quiet system.

Ugh. Been up all night trying to figure out some weird networking problems. I'm 80% sure its due to a weird interaction between VMware server 2, the windows 7 64-bit host (which it isn't officially compatible with VMWare server), and dynampis (router ios emulator), but I can't be 100% sure. I need to figure out what the problem is because if this issue will present itself under ESX server as well, I'm not going to spend the money. I'll just live with regular VMWare and buy some more real routers for my test lab. I'm trying to avoid buying more routers because they're loud and really hot. 10 enterprise class routers + 5 cisco switches + firewall + laptop + 2 PCs and 2 24" monitors = no heating required with the window open in the middle of winter. Summer would be absolutely brutal with all that gear running. [IMG]
