I realize the ticket was probably a little quick, but didn't they run the plates to make sure the vehicle was at least legal. I mean, I've had stickers stolen (since remedied by methods above) and all it took was a quick call to the dmv and a new sticker was sent on it's merry way. Any cop running my plates because I didn't have a correct sticker would easily find out that the car was legal and that there must be some other situation.

Wifey and i got pulled over once, same circumstance... cop informs us hes running the plate and yep paid up but obv stolen heres yer fixit ticket have a great day.

Your state doesn't just ship stickers that are already sliced up and hard to steal?

states still have you put your registration stickers on your license plates where illegals can steal them? I think TX moved inside the windshield in the 80-90s.

Yeah, apparently in the era of the internet and mobile plate readers, putting a sticker on your plate is dumb.

Any meter maid or cop at a stop light can just look it up.

Pretty sure my 401k account currently has about 50 "remembered" computers with names like work, chrome, work2, work3, workasdf, workchrome, fuckthisbank...

Just found out my grandma died today. I was very close to my grandparents growing up, and so at the moment it just feels weird to lose my last grandparent.

On top of it, I learned my stepdad is suffering host vs graft disease, so just a rough day.
