I'm beginning to think brokencycle is actually some strange hermit.

First he had never been to NYC. Now he's never been on a plane with TVs?

Next he is going to tell me that he's never actually eaten the sandwiches they make in my office building...he just copied the ingredients from the online menu and made them at home.

Nope, just always get stuck on regional planes. I've done a fair amount of flying, but they tend to be short flights or crappy, old planes. My flight home last night required moving passengers to balance the plane.

Until this week, I've never had a reason to go to NYC, and it isn't on the top of my list for vacation, so I go other places.

No, but they had to "reboot the flight computer... Because the sensors didn't agree with one another."

On my (admittedly absurdly short) commute to work, I have to make a right turn from a moderately busy street onto a very busy street at a four-way signal. Almost every day there's some shithead in front of me that doesn't get that the right of way belongs to cars turning right on a green, not those coming the other direction and turning left. So the they get all flustered and stop while the cars making a left from the other direction flow through, either because they're aggressive drivers or because they see this moron stopped and think "fuck it, if he's not going I may as well go." The street we're turning onto is busy enough that there's not much opportunity to safely turn right on the red. As a result, it can take multiple light changes to make that right hand turn, even though the green would be more than long enough to allow everyone waiting to make their right hand turn if some shithead weren't holding everyone up.

Grown racoons scare the bejeezus out of me but I couldn't help but ache a bit when I saw a baby racoon dying on the sidewalk this morning on my way to work. I am sad that I couldn't stop to help it (I was late, it was sticky hot and no way am I waiting for animal rescue).

It looked a little like this
