1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I don't like change. It's important we crush his spirit and keep him in his appointed role.

Well, for what it's worth I wasn't super excited to go in the first place. I can't wait until I am home and don't have to travel for a while though.

Says the guy who routinely goes to Thailand or wherever. Because that's real close to NYC.

In fairness, he complained about it the whole time he was there, too

I am unclear if there's a bright line way to distinguish when that's called for rather than a falcon punch.

i was noodling around youtube and stumbled onto Itzhak Perlman playing Bach's Sonata 1 in G minor.

i'd head this piece of music a number of times and thought i knew it pretty well but i wasn't prepared for Perlman. i will have to pick up the entire album but it was one of those flatfooted 'hearing-the-beatles-for-the-first-time' moments which is passing rare these days. overwhelming but good.
