1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I always had a thing for the f14. I don't know why - maybe because of a video game I had as a kid. I also always liked the a10.

I was totally geeking out at the Udvar Hazy Air and Space Museum. It's like plane porn. They have one of everything, including an SR71.

Also, you know, the space shuttle Discovery.

Seeing a B2 in the sky is one of the freakiest things ever.

Honorable mention - B52 just for being a workhorse for what will end up being 85 years if estimates are correct. It just completed its 60th year.

The warthog gives zero fucks about anything. Lose an engine: keep flying. Get shot to shit: keep flying.

I thought that was the Honey Badger?

The warthog is badass. Where are all the innovations these days? There was that string of stealths and the a10 and the harrier.

Probably still classified. I mean they have stealth ships, they're working on exoskeletons, UAVs, anti-missile lasers, etc.

I was at the gem last night when all of a sudden the song "Try" by Pink started playing on the sound system that song was played a lot when I had to euthanize my last kitty had to exert effort not to turn to condition of weepy at the gem.

EDIT: I am terrible about paying attention to lyrics, but I always notice the lyric "Just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die," which always strikes me as an awkward way to make a rhyme with "try."

Pink doesn't have the lyrical rhyming mastery of a Flo Rida, who taught us that the words "floor", "know", and "low" all actually rhyme.

Or Snoop Doggy Dog, who taught us that all words actually rhyme with each other because you're supposed to sing them with "-izzle" at the end

I had to pick up my kid from a dance studio yesterday... which happened to be less than a mile from the crash site.. I left work early to pick her up and i heard the jets overhead...was listening to music but could still hear the crash. had no idea until i got home. Sad news.

I had to sit through a coworker's presentation. He had 15 minutes, and he brought 20 slides. The first slide took 13 minutes.
