1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Well, why the fuck would we call it a yellow dwarf if it is actually white, then?

Was this decision made by the same person who decided to rename mahi-mahi as "dolphin", seemingly just to terrify young Flipper fans?!

This is also crap, if science has taught us anything we will nuke the sun and restart its fusion. See for example the documentaries (rockumentaries) Sunshine and Daylight.

My curiosity is piqued but I am simultaneously terrified to search.

I haven't felt this way since the day edmorel decided he was going to be an upstanding interweb businessman

Uh, guys, the preferred nomenclature is "little person," and they don't feel the need to be identified by race any more than do people of average size.

there's a popular disc golf disc color - chartreuse.... lots o' people, including moi, mistake this to be a shade of red for some reason end up disappointed when their online disc golf disc order arrives and see what color chartreuse actually is.

They probably order that color because they think they'll be unique and they can easily pick out their disc from the field

My wife had the same idea with suitcases and it's just :fu: when 10 other teal suitcases roll out on the belt

I have to fill out this stupid interview Q&A "profile" that the new college grads get to read and become enlightened by. Mostly just annoying crap like "what tools do you think are best to have in order to be successful..." blah blah. I don't really have time for this, there's like 15 questions. One of the questions is "tell me about one of your favorite 'New York City' moments you've had since joining", and I said the time that Mick Jagger gave me a high-5 backstage after the Stones concert at Barclays Center.

of course that didn't happen, but it is what I put.

it's meant to get people excited about moving to the city. Most are from other parts of the US, and only the Columbia/NYU kids have spent a good amount of time in the city already.
