So my clarks are pretty much toast. They've served me well but I can literally tell what kind of coin i'm standing on.

Went to a place to see if they'd resole them. said they couldnt. need to find a place that can in copenhagen or need to find a new pair of shoes. Want clarks, but they're overpriced and hard to get models I like here. dunno what else hits the classic/tough/simple trifecta I like that I can get here for not too much money...

People that bug you at work while you're eating. It's always the same people with the same stupid comments. I kid myself every time and leave my office door open thinking they'll leave me alone. I am not sure why they think I want to start a conversation with them right as I'm taking a bite of my lunch, especially when the "conversation" starts with some obvious observation..."Having a sandwich, huh?"

Undoubtedly, it's the same people that stop by your office with absolutely nothing to say. They just pop their head in and say "how's it going?" Am I an asshole for having enough respect for people's time so that whenever I go into someone's office, even if it's to just shoot the ****, I always have a story/something funny/interesting to share with them? Maybe it's because I'm more of an introvert at work, but really, why are you coming into my office if you have nothing whatsoever to talk about?

i have a friend that recently quit his job and is taking a 6month long cross country road trip to all the national parks he can, unfortunately they are actually closed due to the government shutdown (he was on the Mid West leg of his trip and the major parks in Minnesota are closed). so before it was awesome pictures/updates on facebook about being in places like Acadia/Florida Key's/Yosemitie, but now its just pictures of parks' entrances blocked with signs saying their closed.

i'm so jealous of this guy. he was working for Ernst and Young beforehand and didn't like it so just quit and decided to go on a US national parks road trip. Then he gets cold called from one of his former clients and they offer him a job on the spot and even fedex him a credit card to use for gas and expenses for his road trip until he starts his job in november.

I'm quite sure you can, but I'd think the bigger problem would be parking your car. I'm sure they'd love to have you towed.

National parks are pretty damn big...just find someone who will let you park on their property near the park border. Problem solved.

I get to go to Houston tomorrow because some asshole was so mad at his wife that while trying to run her off the road, he swerved into the oncoming lane and killed my friend's wife and son.
So sorry to hear this. :(

My sympathies man, makes my car breaking down, (well the battery and starter) look so minor.

Give my respects.

I just saw a couple of recent photos of Linda Ronstadt, and undoubtedly those images will pop into my mind when someone mentions her in the future . . .
