1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I never thought I'd say this, but I agree with yuppie. I would have no problem in either of those scenarios putting it back.

I have to say I'd not only put it back but would utter some comments along the lines of, "WTF? You think I'm stupid?" I said exactly that to the guy trying to sell me a 193k backyard last month.

What on earth did he intend to do, plant a forest of fully grown Japanese flowering cherries and install a koi pond filled by actual groundwater amidst a rock garden with black market stones sourced from historical sites in the Andes mountains?

I'd pay 193k for a secret underground evil lair in my backyard. I'd have trouble deciding between the space laser and the shark tank, though

Flagstone shook out to ~$8/sf for me, just for the material. But it was geometric cut empire blue. What stone were you planning to use?

Take it from me: Go with both. Better to spend the money now and get what you want than to half-ass it and regret the decision later.
