1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

You should have invited over your lady lover and made a ruckus yourself.

It would have taken her eight hours to get here.

Tap water with sulfur is the worst. Western Virginia and West Virginia are rampant with it. Nice rotting egg smell when you're taking a shower, mmmmm.

The tap water in the city where I work has the smell of sulfur to it. You'd think it would be possible for a city to take measures to remove that smell.

It's not the same. There's something about the (lack of or less) chlorine and the right amount minerals in nyc water that filtered tap water from elsewhere doesn't get

NJ water is also gross. I used to double filter tap water to drink it and I could still taste it. Ended up just buying water. (Water tastes too minerally almost salty with weird off flavors and the chlorination makes it worse)

Yes sulfur water is the absolute worst especially if you have to shower in it. Spent a week in Florida once and showering was the worst and filtering the water to drink didn't help. Had to buy water.

Dunno how much these breweries spend on filtration systems to make good beer with crappy water. A lot of them just use municipal water too

Lead is usually seen as a negative in water...

In a city I used to live in, they tried putting yogurt in the drinking water on account of pert near everyone likes the taste of yogurt and it has nutrients. Of course what they forgot was that yogurt goes bad pretty quickly. To say that the residents were not happy would be an understatement.

How about the people who think that pulling 8 feet past the stop line will get them to their destination faster, forcing you to make a super-wide left turn, or worse, causing a bus or truck to get stuck.

There is not enough appropriate use of the car horn in the midwest. That pisses me off. "Oh, that nice person ahead of me must have been texting while the light was red. I'll just let them finish while we sit at this green light. Everyone behind me can fuck off."

God just thinking all the bullshit driving I've experienced in the midwest gets my blood boiling. (Detroit is the exception. Those folks drive like they mean it.)

I don't think I've consumed straight water (bottled or tap) in several years. All coffee and booze for me.

Maybe I'm just used to it, but I really like Seattle tap water.

For drinking water we have an RO system under the kitchen sink that also feeds our ice maker.
