1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I may be mistaken, but I live in LA and I was almost certain that he did… or used to. Absolutely nothing is pissing me off today :) … but yesterday I was on the 10 in rush hour (which is like a thrice yearly event for me) so I did get a wee bit pissed off because assholes in LA literally do not have a clue how to drive. And I'm not exaggerating… like I srsly do not understand how you were able to fool the DMV into believing you could operate a motor vehicle safely. The shit I see on the roads here is unbelievable.

Street driving is like 10x worse imo. Try making a left during traffic hour on Glendale or K-town.

How many estimates have you gotten? Those sound widely overinflated.

And catalytic converters rarely fail on their own. It usually means there's something wrong upstream, like with the engine that'll cost you another $2k in a year or two.

Maybe there was a reason the person was selling his car.

2001 Volvo XC70 Turbo with no after-market exhaust systems.

If it wasn't a turbo it would be much cheaper. I can get an exhaust system for several hundred dollars less than the parts my shop quoted me so I'll probably do that IF it fails emissions tests.

The 2001/2 Volvo transmissions were awful (which I have now found out). I'm looking at a few used Volvos that are 03 and newer but none are wagons. Gotta have a wagon! Funny story, so one of the volvo message boards was saying that I think it was the 97-00 Acuras that had truly bad transmissions. Stories of them lasting 25k miles. FWIW, they say that the transmissions on my era volvo go to about 150k and mine is at 184k. I'm more just upset that this process of buying/repairing this car is going to set me way back financially, unless I get a new job.

Girl at work came in for this meeting despite being up throwing up all night. I really hope I don't catch it. I cry like a little baby when I throw up.

If people would stop bothering me, it wouldn't be so bad.

fell down like a douche in the elevator. Was adjusting part of my sock, so I was on one foot, but dangerously I wasn't using the elevator wall as an anchor. The elevator suddenly stopped, and TIP! down i went. Nobody else was in the elevator at the time.

    :fu:

i asked the security guys if i could score the footage, but these elevators don't have cameras in them.

Why would you want the footage? To post a "FAIL!" video on the intertubes?

I'd totally post it to facebook and get like 50 likes. And it would feel awesome.
