1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

@LawrenceMD Doc, my roommate sliced the tip of his finger off and it started bleeding profusely. We managed to get it to stop bleeding by packing on cayenne pepper and it's under control now. What do we do next?

He doesn't want to go to the hospital and I don't think it really warrants a trip honestly, but we're worried that when we rinse off the cayenne powder tomorrow morning that it'll start bleeding again.

Right now we have gauze, alcohol, and liquid band-aid spray.

Listen to whatever the real smart people tell you but why not walk down to the drugstore and get some QuikClot?

I did run to the local CVS and they only sold the weak liquid band aid sprays. Obvously doesn't work for a deep wound.

I actually did this once. I was short on sleep and was butchering a doe hanging in my garage with my buck knife. At that point I was going to school, working evenings and then working overnight (JHC, not much different than now). God knows how I (and everyone else) survived. Needless to say, I cut the tip off, had some of the stop bleed for the animals nails. Packed it and went to work for my third shift work. Bled like a stuck pig, but wasn't one of the worst injuries I ever sustained.
