1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

God some of the empty BS business speak that my coworkers spew is just unbelievable. They're all full of shit. And the worst part is they don't even know how full of shit they are.

    Stuck in a tiny airport...

Perfect weather from here to the destination but their automated weather station is down and they won't let the incoming plane depart unless the station is active.

So even after they fix it, we have to wait for the plane to fly back here...

Wtf! I could stand on the roof and call in all of the weather info they need to land a plane.

Somebody just wheeled out their Cessna... They don't need no stinking' automated weather station.

At least your shirt is clean and you don't look like a homeless drug-addict.

Co-worker chatted me asking if we could 'connect' at 4 PM.

    I told him no.

And said I would be happy to touch base, check-in, and catch up, but absolutely would not tolerate any connecting.

    He lol'd.

Guy's daughter is in the office today, so I have to hear 4,000 "new intern" jokes.

I told him that his base touching skills needed some work as a joke and then we both 'd and 'd at how quickly and easily the conversation hoamoa'd up.

Quickly transitioned back to talking about project work.

The airport is broken... I'm stuck in bumfuck until Wednesday morning (assuming they can fix it).

No one way rentals available and nowhere else to try to rent a car within several hours drive (not that I could drive to them)

Thanks. A couple people on my flight were trying to get to your area... They are equally boned.

Now my dad is driving like 4 hours back here to pick me up (he was more than half home).

He is willing to drive me back to Chicago (7.5-8 hours) and then himself back to MN (another 6-7)... But that's just way too much... So I now have an AM flight from msp to Chicago so he only has to drive the 7 from here to home (and we can trade off).

    Fucking sucks...

I can't stand how "highly effective" is thrown around. Like the intervention is a goddamn Pokemon attack. I also can't stand "best practices" but that's not really a bullshit term.

When someone is doing sex act with me in a wrong way I cry out, " Act is contrary to best practices!" Doing that helps get things back on the right track.
