1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Betimes people square up their shoulders and scrunch up their faces and say in a false gravelly voice "gimme some grog" think it makes them sound like tough guys but it just makes them look ridiculous.

Yup, unfortunately it behappens on the reglar. It's usually a middle aged guy trying to show that he's still a man's man even though he has gone into law practice and wears chinos of Dockers on the weekend.

That's why it is always better to be a regular and just walk in and have your drinks poured automatically.

bring car to new dealer (which is nearer/more convenient) for 30k miles service. new dealer tells me my car was purchased in 2010 and my free service/warranty has lapsed. its impossible because my car was purchased in August of 2011.

now I have to have my original dealer where I bought my car fax over the information to VW headquarters to clear everything up. Things won't be done in time for my service to be finished today. Decide just to drive back home.

PRECIOUS DAY OFF FUCKING WASTED - could've just drove the extra 20min to original dealer in Queens to avoid fucking hassle in the first place :fu:

Err...instead of driving home, why didn't you just head back to the original dealer?

my original VW dealer was in the opposite direction (Queens), would've been an hour 20min drive, also they didn't have a schedule available today for service.

There were asshats making noise under my window all day. I really wanted to start tossing trash bags of water onto the sidewalk.

Thank you for the support, L'in. I do not even own Dockers. Also the term "middle aged" I am not. Furthermore that term is meaningless as just about everyone under 50 alive today has a good chance of living forever in a sexy robot body.

I have a student who, when he writes, just stops at random points before the end of the word. He doesn't abbreviate the words in standard, recognizable ways; he just stops writing the word at an apparently random point. For example, "contradiction" is sometimes just "contradi" and "individual" is just "individu." Needl to sa, this mak it diffi to compr.

EDIT: Apparently "comp" stands for "compliment."

Does he do this when typing papers and such, or only when writing longhand (which I assume mostly occurs in timed exam settings)?
