That's more like it
New downstairs neighbors who think it is OK to blast metal music at all hours of the day. Complete with subwoofer cranked up so loud that pictures have to be straightened when they are done.
They came home last night at 2AM and did this. After my wife had been up all night throwing up, and had just gotten to sleep.
And to top it off, whenever they aren't home, their dogs bark literally nonstop.
That sucks, good luck landing your next gig!
Yep, that will put you sideways for a few days. Good call, though.
thanks guys... well the good news regarding my staff's brain tumor situation is- the doctor who I referred told her that he will take a massive cut off his professional fee to do the biopsy, plus he's gonna operate on her in a different, but cheaper, hospital and if needed be he'll just "borrow" some equipments and stuff from the better hospital he's working in.
Gotta move out of the LES, man.
Ah, the joys of congregate living.
It's doubly annoying because we had such a great living situation until these folks moved in. Everyone in the building is great, has real, normal-people jobs so aren't out partying all the time, etc... And then these folks moved in. Sigh.
Trying to figure out how passive aggressive it is to complain straight to the landlord without talking to them first. So don't even want to deal with this.
nah man complain directly to the neighbors. its always better that way.
Yeah, its not bad debt to have, the repayment terms are great (you can have all forgiven if you do certain work etc).
Hey dude, as someone who seriously thought about dropping out in the final year just remember each day you're in school is one less you have to deal with (finally). It really will go by quickly.
YES! My degree was Political Science even though I only studied political philosophy (long story) and took more philosophy than poli sci classes. Anyway, to graduate with PS you had to have intro to research methods with at least a C+ (IIRC). Anyway, first time I took it, it was NOTHING but regressions and advanced math. The second time it was actually how to conduct research, proper analyzing of documents, studies etc...you know... stuff you would actually find beneficial for the start of an undergraduate career in political science.
What's the first thing you do after moving into a Philly apartment? Clean up the mouse droppings in the closets.
I know, I know. I just really don't want to have to deal with this.
We try to be good neighbors, but I seriously think about putting on my hardest soled shoes and clomping around at 5:30AM when I wake up every morning.
Give them the chance to do the right thing. Are they young? They might have just moved from a place where this sort of thing is ok. Not making an excuse for them or anything, but calling the landlord or the law on them before talking to them is a good way to make an enemy of your neighbors.
Yeah, I know. I will definitely talk to them before going nuclear on them. It just annoys me to no end.
Drunken regrets. Still shuddering over the mistake from last Friday night. Dr. visit scheduled today!
They're certainly worthless to you with that attitude. Plenty to do with either (and certainly with the two of them) if you know what you want.
Good luck but I think you should have some free time to see the landlord next week. It might have been that they were drunk or don't know how thin the walls are but no decent person does that at 2 am.
That said it is the right thing to talk with them first.
