1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

As a cube dweller, I advise you to shove your yoga ball up your urethra.

Whatever, sometimes you get tired of sitting in a fancy chair.

Also, if you are feeling out of it, you can close the door and roll around on your ball or do some silly exercises (since I haven't figured out how to get a pull up bar in my office yet) and get your mind back in gear.

I am awful at being sick because I always "catastrophize" (as therapists like to say). Today I've been coughing (tussis), and so I feared there must be cancer in my lungs. Earlier in the morning, there was some pain in my abdominal region and so I thought I had appendicitis.

Srsly. By the time I get home from work I am sapped of any desire to leave the apartment, even though it's only 6pm.

lol, yeah, SF doesn't really seem like their core market anyways, at least not the hardcore membership. but whatever slim chance they might have had they are not helping with these ads.

What sucks is I have accidentally clicked-through like 10 times just trying to navigate through the forum. Being in ad sales in a former life, I know my frustration can be spun to look like an engaged/interested visitor to their site.

And Douglas, I completely agree. A forum where people endlessly debate minutiae and post about their clothing selections ad naseum? I bet they'd be interested in a service that completely removes the details and selection process from buying clothes

The thing to remember here is that there are over 100,000 users on the site, most of whom do not post very much, if at all.

The only people who know the click through rate, the average time a click through user stays on the site (to account for accidental clicks like bb), and susequent purchases profit vs. ad cost, are the people who take out the ads, and if they deem that it's profitable for them to do so, why not?

I like Trunk Club. They buy a shitload of product from us. Not that I'd use them, but still.

There's a lady on the Trunk Club site who, I think, is supposed to be the Personal Stylist. I don't really like her blouse very much, truth be told. Or her necklace (gaudy).

I know and understand the reasoning behind it, my issues is that the site is a forum and the forum part gets "ruined" the attractiveness of advertising declines with the decline in posters, readers and clicks, so for it to be attractive you can't go fucking around with the "core business".

One could also argue that the advertiser, sort of missed point here, as their business caters to people who have no interest in buying/talking about clothing, which is what this place is all about.
