There's nothing more bullshit than undersized blankets.

One of my pet peeves is waking up in the middle of the night without any blankets. Of course I ended up marrying the most prolific blanket stealer of our generation.

My recent solution has been to buy the biggest blanket possible but now the problem is that I get completely entangled and straitjacketed, and literally cannot move in the morning. Damn these first world problems!!

Great on your quiting, you CAN do it.

It might sound bad but my way of doing it was to tell all my friends that I was doing it thusly, being a complete ego maniac, I could not allow myself to fail. It was certainly a challange but everytime I saw a friend smoking I would think that I was just that slight bit better than he/she was. I would also play a game to see how long I could hold out before having to break down and have a smoke, it wasn't all that long before the craving would go away and I would just wait to play the game again. Lastly, when I really noticed how amazing the addiction was it just added that much more of a drive to quit. It was almost comical if it wasn't so draining that something I thought was cool when I was a teen could have such a command over an otherwise self-centered person.

Others do it in different ways but "commanding" myself to win was the biggest factor for my success. I didn't really care for my friends back then and I care that much less for them these 7 years later. It has slowly become LC and I against the world but we are fine with that.

Reverse cold turkey was easier than straight quiting.

Normally I don't encourage people to better themselves but quitting smoking is a great idea. You can do it. Try the patch.

Incidentally for those of you who don't smoke the patch rules. Try one.

yeah, stoping smoking cigarrettes is pretty much the only thing that I activly try to promote people to do. now that so few people smoke in the US, I really feel the smell of cigirettes.

that said - I think everybody should take up the occasional cigar. much better habbit

I actually kind of like other people smoking. Especially chicks. Obviously it's some weird fetish of mine but a chick smoking turns me on.

Unless it's menthol. Yuck. No boner for Kools, sorry.
