1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I have this one program that is a community program and the last several "program leaders" (what they call the floor staff) are all hipsters. I think they applied for the job because the uniform is black pants and red sport shirts. They are also allowed to wear hats and I notice hipsters seem to like hats.

This whole "hipster" conversation might be the least self-aware and most ironically ironic conversation that has ever occurred on SF.

when I needed to decompress, i'd walk my dogs all to cooper park, the park next to the abandoned hospital [one of the more underutilized creepy assed buildings in NYC] then from there walk to maria hernandez park in bushwick (about a 5mile loop all in all) i'd be standing there and it's all hipsters , trying to out hipster each other. Even the Cooper project kids are 95% hipster-ed (its weird seeing packs of roving project teens, mostly black and puerto rican, in tight jeans and ironic accessories) and realize... oh yeah, dressing normally or in a suit makes you the hipster in this place.

I never understand how there are any abandoned buildings in NYC. People are renting closets for 3k a month.

"Hipster" (and hipster) is so played out. I'm already a part of movements you've never heard of.

Boston doesn't have any places that sell good macarons.

    Hallmark of a second-rate city.

    :fu:

Edit: I'm pleased that I spent my 5K poast talking about macarons. :slayer:

I think it is just the frequency at which I wear them. i.e. Blink 182 concerts. They think this is some sort of hipster thing.

There has to be a macaroon somewhere in Faneuil Hall.

Are you talking about the coconut macaroons? If so, I'm not a big fan. I'm sure Faneuil sells them though.

I was talking about the French macarons. God I could eat those non-stop.

If only my soporific life could cause this husk of flesh and bone to experience a feeling...an emotion...I would feel almost human. Alas, my grey nothingness of existence does not allow for this.
