If you're trying to trick me into using Google to see what Rosanne Barr looks like now, I at least have enough sense not to fall for that one . . .

It is rare for both the battery and starter to die simultaneously. If it's just the starter you can probably recharge your battery and you'll be fine unless it is very old and you cranked it a hundred times vainly trying to start your car until you realized it wouldn't start.

Also, fixing your starter is mostly unnecessary. Just take a long bladed insulated screwdriver and touch the two poles. I mean, unless you like starting your car with a key from the comfort of the driver's seat.

My grandma on my dad's side died today, which would be sad for me, but it was a relief after a pretty rough mental and physical deterioration in the last five years. She hasn't been a part of my life since I was really young for deliberate reasons on the part of my dad for reasons I've never been able to really figure out. Regardless, it's a bit worrisome having a stronger reaction to news involving motorcycle gangs than news involving family members dying, however un-tragic the deaths are.

On their drive home today, my wife and son were narrowly missed by a high-speed chase and ensuing accident, which involved multiple cars and was severe enough to send one car flying through the air and into the trees on the side of the road. Actually, they weren't missed; her car was hit by debris from the wreck. It doesn't look like the debris did any damage, and I'm grateful that they weren't directly involved in the wreck. However, it is fucking outrageous to me that high-speed chases still occur, and it's even more galling that it happened in the middle of the Atlanta rush hour.

    Glad they're OK, G. That's scary.

This is minor compared to recent complaints, but: waterhammer. I hear the dull banging of pipes, usually at night, and it makes me go :fu:

Is it on your water supply or do you have a water AC system? If it's the former it shouldn't be hard to fix.

    Feel better, man.

Same here. My breathing is so bad and constricted I cant sleep more than 4 or 5 hours without waking up coughing. And during the day I need albuterol every few hours to breath right.

Just re-upped on meds and steroids, hope to be back to normal soon.

Battery was dead anyway, but thanks anyway.

I wish everyone good health and safety.
