Company secretary is sick. This is going to be a rough day
New work location is horrible in short.
too many bees buzzing around your hive?
why is that?
Everybody is on top of each other. The new chairs suck too.
are you at the very top, at least?
Of course. Sweating on all.
Why does the forum think I want to post the same thing 4 times?
Patience left today 10%, not leaving the house for the rest of the day.
My problem is being dealt with by the useless IT guy.
I couldn't upload to an FTP server. I cringed when he picked up the IT phone but hoped he would just pass the problem off to someone else. He plays around with it a bit and decides it is working fine because he is able to upload a file. Except all he is doing is creating a file with a filesize of zero...not actually uploading anything (which is what I said was happening to me when I called).
He can't figure out why that is happening so instead he is just going to make a new FTP for me to use (same account name with a 1 on the end).
He tells me he made it, but I can't log in. It keeps rejecting my login info (as the error clearly states) but he makes me restart my computer anyways. Sure enough, still doesn't work. Then I figure out he made a typo in the username. instead of being XXXX1, he made it as XyXX1. Now I can log in.
Except when I try to log in it now tells me there is not enough space and I can't upload my file! (this is a permissions issue, there is actually plenty of space) . The whole reason I need this is to send 100mb of stuff to a client who wanted it ASAP this morning.
I'm not even sure why this guy is doing this--it seems like his core responsibility in the IT department is being the guy who unplugs all your stuff, puts it on a cart, and makes sure it works when it gets moved to your new desk.
And now I think he has gone to lunch.
I think I have a kidney stone. On a scale of 1-10 how bad should it hurt? my side hurts in the back, its tough to breathe and I feel like crap. I've had this before in the same space, and it usually goes away. I thought I just tweaked it, but now I am not sure.
Never tell yourself that you've completed the last of your 15 hour days in a year until it's 5pm on December 31.
boss made a comment to me about to much internetting. #wtfmang.
Don't go in to work until 9:30 on 12/31...then you can't work a 15 hour day!
We are so short on manpower it's awful.
