You are a man of strange habitudes, Harvey.
Also, it's pronounced JAY-guire.
Listen to Pink Floyd's album Wish you Were Here.
"He always ate at the steak bar.
Loved to drive in his jag-you-are."
Listen to Terry Bradshaw on Fox's NFL pre-game and post-game shows. (And the halftime show too.)
Yeah, no I'm not going to do that. You can irregardless all you want but this word is pronounced jag-you-are. So sayeth Roger Waters, so sayeth we all.
The fuck it is.
For years I didn't know that the g in Zegna is silent. Now whenever someone says "Nice Jag-war," I can be a condescending ass and correct them.
I am just kidding, of course. I'm not sure how common that pronunciation is outside the United States, but it's fairly common here.
Sounds like you've been a good team player in an impossible situation. Hope you at least got a sizeable severance to tide you over
i am not from vancouver.
sorry to hear that, marc. best of luck.
Hope something better comes out of this soon. Good luck.
You'll do a lot of correcting.
Every now and then I'll do a little teaching when someone says Porsch instead of PorSHA. Gets tiring after awhile though.
I won't lie to you all: I say JAY-GWAR both for the animal and for the car. Since the proper name is also a common noun, it feels weird to me to switch all of a sudden into British English to say the name.
good luck Marc. hope you land on your feet and find something new soon.
Separate names with a comma.
