1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Amen!

I downloaded the Krispy Kreme app and it notifies me whenever the hot light is on so I can get fresh-off-the-line donuts.

And people really need to get insurance if they are driving a car

And people on eBay need to stop buying things they have no intention of paying for

And people need to not jam screwdrivers into my girlfriends car

And damn since when are there fake Cleverley shoes?

    Appreciate it, Globe.

Like Piob, I thought this type of stuff was something I'd aged out of, but I suppose not. Every now and again, it comes to call.

One thing is for certain, I really don't have the right to have any existential issues. I have it pretty good. In a way, I'm grateful that I have the luxury of such crises, rather than, "I hope I can find a way to feed my family" crises.

I had just finished a long day of work, so I was "grumpy of mind," but irregardless, I had to go to the store and buy some food. I had just bought two boxes of cereal, and was looking to see if there was a third box I might want, but none were on sale. So then I said to myself "Fuck you, I'm not buying any more cereal from you." And then immediately I thought to myself, what kind of crazy person says "Fuck you, I'm not buying any more cereal from you?"

That sucks. I suppose the alternative would be mugging, so in that sense she got off lightly. Did she loose much cash?

About $100 and all credit cards, bank cards, drivers license and such. Such a hassle.

    That sucks balls.

Ironically I've always had a harder time replacing Driving Licenses than credit cards. At least the banks have something to loose if they don't help you out with replacement cards.

Bank cards are really easy. Just call and they will send you one. Driver's licenses are the worst, especially now with all the bullshit immigration crap you have to deal with.

She just got her new license last week too. Sucks. Also in NY they send it to you in the mail and it takes weeks. In Jersey they give it to you right away.

i just ordered a new NY license (address update. 5 years late), and it only took about a week. The online ordering system is vastly superior to trying to deal with the touch tone bullshit or "mail the request form to XYZ".

    ^damn sorry about that.

i love when people start giving advice about how to avoid being pick pocketed.

"I put my wallet in my front pocket!"
"i wear my wallet in my jacket pocket"
    " I use a money clip"
"I put my wallet inside my backpack"
"I put my wallet inside my backpack and wear the backback on my front"
"i always avoid crowds and walk alone!"
    "i avoid pickpocket-y looking people!"

sometimes people are just distracted and vulnerable (no matter where the wallet/pocketbook is hidden) like when you're carrying shopping bags/groceries/kids.

I took today (and tomorrow) off to study for the GMAT. Thus far I've read two pages of my guide, a very funny article from George Plimpton, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, and a few emails.

Not my place to tell you how to study, but I think you will end up having more success if you focus your efforts more on your guide book, which was designed specifically to help with GMAT studying. The benefits of the article, the AJC, and e-mails are probably indirect at best.

Are you planning to write Kaplan (pr whoever wrote your guide) a complaint letter? Might as well get that out of the way too.

Why does every single website have an app for visiting on a mobile device? Is anyone really downloading an app for every shitty website they visit?
