    Listen to their lyrics. They are pretty much a "hardcore" boy band. Pure pop music. You can't compare them to Led Zeppelin. The Who, The Rolling Stones, not even close.

    @pB: You've raised the bar quite a lot there! To say they're not in the class of Zeppelin and the Stones isn't the same as to say they're a joke.

    Extreme had some good songs, but I'm not a big fan myself.

    i wouldnt even put the stones in the same category as zeppelin.

    Yeah definitely can't compare them to Zeppelin, Kiss actually wrote original songs instead of ripping off unknown black blues musicians.

    Well these bands did cover black (and white) blues songs, but they also wrote their own stuff and the best stuff.

    By the way you can't play rock music without ripping off the blues in some way or another.

    Good point, harvey.

    Also, if KISS had written no other songs than "Shock Me" or "Just a Boy," that would be enough to put them in the pantheon of great rock and roll bands.
