    If common knowledge is shaped to a very great degree, and in very specific formulations, by Spark Notes.

    I just found another case of plagiarism. This is a freshman only class, and so far they've been very good about not plagiarizing.

    Unrelated thing that's pissing me off a little bit: I have to go to the office early tomorrow. The reason is that I have to deliver a critical evaluation of a new colleague to the colleague herself. Ideally I wouldn't have to deliver critical evaluations at all, but I'd at least like them to be scheduled conveniently for me if I have to give them!

    Thanks fellas, but I lost a juvenile case today and I feel fucking terrible about it. Some dumb 14 year old kid who took his neighbor's car and went for a joy ride is in kiddie prison because I wasn't good enough today. Ugh.

    ^^ Is it really because you weren't good enough? Even if you'd pitched a perfect game, could you have gotten a good result?

    Perfect Game or no, the kid went to a facility. He cried as he was taken away.

    That's got to be hard. But +1 to Stitchy's comment above.

    I really hope he's getting good coin from his gig there. but I won't be surprised if gets shafted after his contract with the band runs out.

    +++++

    now that our acidkid's medical adventure's done, I have to deal with shit at work... monday my "report" :) contacts me about one of the guys in the factory... long story short the guy is having anger management issues that morning, and my guy is asking me what to do. I told my report to tell the angry guy to go home. my report puts down the intercom, turns around, steps out and the angry guy suddenly slapped him out of nowhere.

    It's not your fault that he stole a car and went for a joyride. Kiddie prison does seem a little harsh, though.
