The same type of people who go out to the "city" via penn station, then don't stray two blocks from the area, hopping around all those wonderful irish bars.

There are a lot of plebs in NYC. And a lot of tourists from Iowa who think Olive Garden is gourmet Mediterranean cuisine.

eugh, young lady hit her Terrible Twos and they are NOT an urban Myth. Holy fucking cow she is awful now. Dinner time is remarkably un-fun - stressful, even - she's remarkably quick on her feet, able to outrun the Mrs in tight quarters, and bath time...don't get me started. That ordeal requires two gin and tonics and a percocet to get me through. Two percocets if the wife tries to help.

That seems like a good strategy at first, but what will happen is that you'll get tuckered out and your day will become worse. (Lesson learned the hard way on that one.)

Um, tourists? "New York is so much more awesome than Mason City. The Olive Garden in Times Square was *so* *cool.* We met these boys from Florida! There were people there from everywhere! It was so much better than the Olive Gardens here."

You may not be aware of this but there is an entire business built around this concept: Hard Rock Cafe.

Most people are so stupid. Why go to a new city to have the same food you have where you came from?

People, at their cores, are creatures of habit. We don't like change. We don't like unfamiliarity. Sometimes, we are able to break out of our shell, to varying degrees, but the desire for familiar territory often remains.
