1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

another fantastic "alternative parenting" idea for hipsters...

so the trend talks about bringing your kid to a public place, like a restaurant, and hoping that when the baby wants to take a dump you can catch it early enough not to leave a bunch of chocolate nuggets on the way to the bathroom??

Trader Joe's Turkey Chili. Had it for dinner last night when I didn't feel like cooking, I've been eating a hole in the ozone above me for 12 hours and still going strong. Luckily no meetings today because this would clear a room.

I bought some stuff from LL Bean and returned it, but forget to specify which way I wanted to be refunded, so they sent me a gift card. If I wanted their stuff I wouldn't have returned it. :fu:

I saw a woman playing fetch with her dog this morning and a NYC Parks worker walked over to her and said she had to leash her dog.... 3 min later the Parks worker walked over to two teens smoking pot and didn't even tell them to stop...he just started laughing with them and had a conversation or something.

They should just allow pot smoking unleashed dogs in all NYC parks... the city would be a better place.

Unleashed dogs are way more dangerous than stoned teens.

Stoned teens are arguably less dangerous than sober ones. As long as they are walking, at least.

A day doesn't go by where I almost flatten the head of some small dog on a 50 foot leash, at the other end a clueless bimbo on a cell phone not paying attention.

I hate leashes extended like that. I've seen dogs on people's porches while the owner is standing on the sidewalk yapping on a cell phone. I like for my dog to stay close to me, so I have no use for that type of leash.
