I have to take little Genevieve to be boarded, as I'll be out of town for a while. Makes me sad. :(

I had my teeth cleaned a couple of days ago, and they are concerned that I'm losing a tooth. It died a long time ago because I'm such a grinder, but now it looks like I'm losing bone around the root and am going to lose it entirely. Options are a bridge or an implant, and they recommend the implant. I have a morbid dread of the whole concept of implants.

fwiw, my wife the teeth grinder had this procedure done. I suppose your health care's paying for this, as my wife had to pay for it and it costs a pretty hefty penny. she was also made to choose between bridge or implant, but from what I understood an implant is the best solution unless you wanna have more procedures done years from now. good luck with that.

My mom went batshit insane. My parents hate tattoos, and I keep getting them behind their back- on my third one so far. Has caused some fights. Somehow they found out about my newest one on Tuesday, there were some angry phonecalls, 'not their son', that kind of stuff.
Yesterday night, she told me she was going to kill herself, blaming me for it, then after we talked for a bit she hung up on me, leaving me to think that I had caused my mother to commit suicide. **** this.

ugh.. sounds like an asian mom. good luck with that and move out asap.

The worker at the veterinary hospital where Genevieve is boarding took her away before I had a chance to say "Love you." I wonder what he was thinking.

I really hate boarding my dog, but there are times when it's unavoidable. I hope Genevieve has fun there.

We went out last night with wife's friends. Enjoyable time, but we had to race home to get baby girl and get her set up in her own bed before the grandparents called it a night. So, got to bed at a reasonable time which was really nice because bobo woke up at 1:30 and wouldn't go back to bed. Finally around 4:30 she started drifting off again, which was convenient I guess - just in time to grab another cup of coffee and knock out a few miles before heading to the office. yay me.

Thomas, you don't sleep much, do you? With all the running and training, I'd think you'd need to get more sleep than you do. You're a real trooper.

I remember a year ago I would get 6 hours in a night and feel like a new man in the morning. These days, four hours is tolerable but not for more than two straight nights or I get grumpy. Two hours and I have to keep my day busy and choose carefully.

I went through a dry phase for a good while, and lately I've been back to a drink or two in the evenings. I'm going to have to cut it out soon, I can feel it impacting my running.

I honestly have no idea how you function on 2 hours of sleep and maintain any level of productivity, much less walk around acting like anything other than an extra on Walking Dead.

Not sure myself, but sometimes it's just not up for discussion. Like, 1 a.m. baby running a high fever? Not even a question, you just grab your shoes, keys, wallet, baby, and go. After that you do what you have to. I found that, as long as I can move my legs (i.e., walk, run, what-have-you), I'm good.

Had insomnia three nights this week. I'm usually very good at not letting work interfere with my sleep but a few huge projects underway and I think they're bleeding through. One is a big change in part of the business model so I'll either be a hero or a zero.
