I just banged my ankle on my subwoofer.

It elicited a cry of "GODDAMN FUCK!!!!!" followed by maniacal laughter because I am about four G&Ts deep.

I'm getting real sick of people saying "no" or "that's impossible". If I say this is what is NECESSARY, don't say "no", say "we can't do that, but we can do _______". Any number of assorted morons and idiots can say "no", people need to learn to provide realistic options and alternatives.

In short . . . "NO" is not a complete answer.

I'm pretty much just about to lose it with the people inconsiderate assholes working on my building. When I stay up until 10:30 in the morning to work, then get about two hours of sleep, then go about my day and get to bed around 2: AM again because I can't get to sleep much earlier than that, I'd appreciate being able to sleep a decent 8 hours or so before my head is ripped apart by a goddamn chopsaw directly next door. Yesterday they were banging on a shared wall to the point that a framed piece of "art" fell off the wall and hit the top of the toilet, and only because there was a big catalog sitting there did the frame's plate glass not shatter all over the goddamn bathroom. Today I got up at 8:37 because they were chopsawing god knows what and I decided to practice my one-inch punch technique on the wall they were working on and the bathroom door (they will be ripping all this stuff out soon anyway so why not?). I don't know if they understood what the sound was, but they have stopped for now and I've improved quite a bit - I can now crack the veneer on the door from fingers' length. I don't know if I'm doing it right but I will watch Kill Bill (2?) again today to see, because that's where I'm taking my lessons from. In the meantime I will try to go back to sleep with both earplugs in and down pillows stacked up around my head, and hope they don't insist on starting something they won't be able to finish.

Still no power at the house. Tomorrow it will be two weeks. Fortunately the weather has cooled a bit and I have a generator and the DSL line is up.

Thanks man. I've watched him go through it before and it is painful. At least this time he has a better support system (a good wife instead of a soul-stealing succubus).
