If that's in preparation for a remodel (dear God I hope it is

Try to get laid, but get vehemently denied.

Also known in certain groups as "The Connemara."

Stazy, your new Camilla avatar looks like an ill-tempered Selma Blair: that is, still cute but not dazzling.

I'm about to start hyperventilating. Never have before, so that should be an experience.

I not only have to be prepared to answer questions today from our "highest ups" about a new major rule we're issuing (in public), but then have to attend a press conference and face questions from the press.

I wish I had known about this a week ago. I found about about the first part of it two days ago. But I found about about the press just this morning.

I'm not so much "pissed" as "nervous as all hell." Since I wrote my part of this rulemaking (one of the most controversial) it has been through multiple (literally dozens) revisions by others.

Good luck, and keep cool! Even if you're only one of the smartest people in the room, you'll definitely be the best-dressed.

Nice of the higher ups to send you out to face the jackals.

Thanks for the nice words, but...

It was struck from the agenda 5 minutes before the meeting. So it'll come up next month. When I will be on vacation (as will two other team members). Not sure they planned on that.

Sounds like you're off the hook. It's amazing how things sometimes work out. Now have a good day.
