1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

So I had planned to get an MBA 2014/15 depending on if I get a new job but man, I don't think I'll get in, just looking at my GPA and where I want to go. The places I would be able to get into would be much lesser schools and I'd have to take out substantial loans to do it, more than likely. And I can't find any fucking work that will hire me.

At this point I just want to use up all my vacation time now just to get away from my job.

I really don't know what I'm going to do in the future.

That's what the vacation time is there for, man. Don't let it go to waste. Good luck on the other part.

Thanks, guys. I'm recuperating at my GF's house for the next few days :) I heard the vertebrae in my whole neck and upper back pop loudly. It was amazing that nothing broke...

    FFY.

I remember I slipped on some ice at my ex's house a few years ago, landed just so that it was right on the base of my spine. Felt fine that night but the next day when I woke up and couldn't turn my head or move my back without a fuckton of pain... yeah, its a scary thought.

I know that if I do I'll just face the rest of the year hating going into work. Also, I am planning some time off in October for bonsai activities.

And some time in APril hopefully.

But, also, we have a really generous vacay policy, and i feel like, well if i get this job and I didn't use my vacay when work buys it back I will be BALLER.

I think we need a PSA:

Except for a very few lucky people we all hate our jobs to one degree or another. Rarely can one find a job they both love and find adequately remunerative. Work sucks so suck it up. Remember you have a whole life outside work and enjoy it.

I just want to make money dude. Or at least be on a path to doing so. I mean, if the paycheck's big enough I'll suck any dick.

I love my job. But to make this post appropriate to the thread it's in, I will point out that PowerPoint almost always pisses me off, even when it is used "well."

You'll be happy to note when I was in college, one of my professors was promoted to a position where he was teaching GSU's professors how to teach more better. (He was named best professor in the University System of Georgia a year or two earlier. I would not dispute the honor).

Anyway, he did a little project hearing from students what they liked and didn't from their professor's pedagogical practices. PowerPoint was almost unanimously reviled!

What is comical about this statement is that you would feel the folks that invented PowerPoint are "old."

Why does it seem that all the people who "like" tough mudder, spartan, or similar type races on facebook are the ones who are least likely to actually compete in one of these races?

When it's icy, go back to the chalet, pour yourself a giant, dark beer, and get in the hot tub.

Of course, I'm just a wussy snowboarder.
