i'm so sorry stitches. this is kind of stupid but i've been reading studies on pennebaker's expressive writing protocol (write traumatic experiences for 15 min for 4 consecutive days) and the results seem pretty amazing. less doctor visits, better immune system, better health in general (measured by self reporting, behavioral markers, and physiological markers eg antibody and killer B cell levels), even better GPA for students. when it first came out in 1980 people didn't believe it but a ton of repeated studies since then have confirmed the results and a whole part of the therapy industry thrives around it. i have no idea how helpful that tidbit was, but it's something to think about.
