I chalk it up to PTSD, Saturday sucked and Sunday was straight-up awful, shouting matches and stomping and late arrivals with cold dishes that made us wait considerably longer than expected to eat. Plus, my brother has his own sorrow that we're all more or less in on, but I can't really share that. Dammit, this Easter was a straight-up disaster.

hope everything's gonna work out, T... and best wishes to your brother, too!

I called for a small meeting with another department to go over some important things. They invited like a billion people to it. In my experience when meetings are too large nothing gets accomplished and they turn into a **** show. Pisses me off...

We are having a birthday party at our house for our 3-year old. I sent out a general invitation saying we'd have food and drinks for adults and kids and come over and have a glass of wine with us etc etc.

I got a reply back:

Thank you for the invitation to [Douglas' Kid]'s Birthday Party. [Invitees 5-year-old twins] would love to help [Douglas' Kid] celebrate her third birthday. Please count them in.

:plain:

Maybe there's some code I need to learn, and maybe I'm reading too much into the way this note is phrased, but typically a kid's birthday at your home is not a couple hours of free day care, is it?

lol, it is. i think with most birthday party invites its expected that the parents can leave the kids there.

Wrote a check for $1600 to get my A/C fixed in my house! Apparently my dampers were fucked up!

Well, working A/C is something that makes me happy. :) You're utility bill in the summer will probably be better now.

Makes me happy as well. If we have another summer like we had last year, it'll be money well spent. What pisses me off is I bought my house new 6 years ago...oh well.
