1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Yeah, don't beat yourself up for not realizing that the guy's an idiot, and kind of a douchebag. He should be home with his wife, not acting like an asshole at work.

I volunteered to look after a friend's cat while he was away. All my friend told me was, "Kitty is injured, please don't let him out." I had no idea how bad kitty was until I got there - he's emaciated and can barely walk. He hadn't eaten anything in 48 hours yesterday, and was visibly weaker than the day before. He drank some water, then threw it all up, winding up stretched out flat on the floor dry heaving.

He had the demeanor of a cat who was ready to die. My friend got back today, whisked kitty off to the vet, where he was told that Kitty most likely has cancer. I don't think Kitty is coming home from the vet. :(

When I answered the email Friday morning I didn't know I was signing up to be grief stricken for someone else's cat that I've never even liked very much - he was never much of a people cat.

I lose power occasionally so I have a box with candles, bottled water, a canned ham, flashlights, a hand crank radio, duct tape, condoms, crazy glue, scrabble, and a bunch of other stuff. Always be prepared.

For the next few weeks I have to cover a course for a colleague who's on medical leave. I thought I was going to get paid fairly poorly for that, but I just found out today it's even less than I thought. Oh well, at least I am building up good will which, along with $1.50, will buy me a steaming hot cup of coffee.

It is so uncharacteristic of you to stay up until a late hour, knowing you will regret it in the morning.

Where can you get a decent cup of coffee for $1.50?

I know, I know, that information will cost me more than $1.50.

If you want a good cup of coffee for that price, you can come to St. Louis, MO, USA and visit Kaldi's. (I'm not going to lie though, as it is against both my nature and the Lord's command: it's really a little bit more than $1.50, but I rounded down for rhetorical purposes.)

You can just Paypal me for the info.

I log in today, spamminate 24 threads. Go back to the live site and there's four more waiting for me. Makes me wonder about the how's and why's of spamming. Like did SF do something to get the attention all of a sudden.

Go in? What time is it there? 11am? Son, by 11am, I've got at least five hours logged.

Pissing me off: about to head to a five hour meeting that shall be boring, tedious, mind numbing, :foo: and unproductive.
