Working on a campaign right now, so 12 hour days and no weekends are the norm.
That would be fine with me, if I was getting paid right.
I did get a decent bonus but it's not enough to justify the hours.
If you live in an apartment, the owner of the building usually pays for it, and in condos the HOA does. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they are required by state or municipal laws to do so.
Yup. In the regular cities, and the sticks, its water/sewer/trash all in one.
I know of no one who is half as big a bitch as you are.
Fuckity fuck fuck. Going through pictures in lightroom and just realizing a lot of the landscape photos I took in argentina were with the aperature open instead of f/8-11ish so they're not as sharp as they should be.
Go back and retake them.
Yeah, I don't know, I pay my maintenance bill and all of that is overed in it so I guess I never looked into it.
BMW Dealership. BMW is so 99% now.
tl; dr alert!
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
I went in for a basic service, pretty much just an oil and filter change. Yeah, I know, it's pretty dumb to do that at the dealer but I like to try to be loyal to the service manager, who is a pretty good guy and has taken care of me a few times in the past.
So I walk in and first of all there are all these sketchy people checking out the cars on the sales floor. One guy was carrying like 3 plastic bags, including one that looked like his restaurant carry-out doggy bag (styrofoam container in a crinkled bag). This is at 8:30am. He literally looked near homeless.
Maury Povich (I'm sleeping with BOTH your sisters) is blaring on the big screen.
I decided to let them drop me off in their courtesy shuttle, because the loaners at this place are FUCKING HONDAS managed through some 3rd party rental company. It takes forever to fill out their rental paperwork and sign away your life and hand over your insurance info and I work close by so it is not a big deal. Service was supposed to take about an hour according to the appts person I talked to and so I could have waited but figured I'd just go to work. For some reason, today the shuttle takes 30 minutes to show up.
So anyways I'm feeling like shit today and would love to cut out early but I can't with no car. Service should have been finished by lunchtime but I have gotten no call yet. Wondering what's up, so I call.
Automated message. "Blah blah, blah, golden rule dealer, options have changed, we're not going to tell you what they are for at least another 30 seconds. For service, press one."
ring, ring, ring, ring.
"Thank you for calling blah blah blah. Please hold and one of our service schedulers will be along shortly to schedule your service appt. If you are not calling to schedule a new service, please press 1 now."
"Blah blah, blah, golden rule dealer, options have changed, we're not going to tell you what they are for at least another 30 seconds. For service, press one."
Finally get a service scheduler. She puts me on hold.
Then she can't find the information I need. Asks if she can have an advisor call me back later.
Fuck, people, it's almost 4pm. Change the oil. Get me out of here.
I'm paying double what an ordinary oil change would cost for THIS?
that's fucked up. every time I do an oil change etc. it takes like 30-40 mins max and I'm out of there. I usually just dick around in the new cars..some times I test drive them
oh, awesome. now it's not ready at all. they haven't even touched it yet. can't do it til tomorrow.
might have been nice to know this at, uh, sometime earlier today?
I remember my neighbor took her car to get an oil change and parked out front. They said it would be about an hour. An hour later they walked out and said it was done and she's like, "um I parked right there and it didn't move the whole time..." She said the guy's face went beet red.
