I agree on taking the least most invasive steps first. A foot in the ass seemed to work well on me. I am the most well adjusted 26 year old in America.

I agree with Liam that it's massively over diagnosed, and with you that most kids need discipline and not Ritalin, but I can tell you from experience that it's quite real.

my nieice is a great kid, but she was always "bouncy", meds did wonders for her, and after 3-4 years she stopped taking them, and is still doing much better in school. so it is hard to say. a lot of kids I see, I'd like to see them drugged to get them to calm down, what ever it takes.

honestly, this girl was already doing maybe 20 hours, maybe more a week in excersize. there is a limit to what you can do with a kid who lives in a city.

Well, I had my real sort of meeting with the big-wigs. Got a little better handle on what I might expect as a bonus which makes it seem a bit better. Tried to bring up the salary but it didn't take me anywhere (there is one more person who handles the more administrative stuff I might still try to talk to since it sounds like he is the person who actually came up with the number)...just told me that I am now on a better trajectory so future years will be better. Sure an oral statement that it will go up faster than it would if not for the promotion isn't really anything solid...but I have no reason to believe it isn't true.
Still, with the bonus size I should end up with a number I am happy with (as long as we don't have a bad year). :) :)

95% confirmed that my office won't have a window though...so I lose my epic view. There is another office open that has a window but it is way in a back corner so they don't like to give it to people (and it basically just looks at the side of another building).

    edit:
And I get assigned to a secretary :)

Sometimes you need to take a pay cut short term to make things better for the much longer term. Overtime sucks anyways. :)

No, I am not married either. I don't want children. I am way too selfish for them.

Please no one say "you will when you're older" I'm sick to death of that argument...

I didn't want kids till I was 30, then one day I wanted them.

I hate to say this, but what 25 year olds don't realize is that they are still developing (in some ways, so are 45 year olds). you hate that, but it's true. as you develop, you develop differnt tasts, desires, needs etc. things change.

great. my son has found youporn. Wife called me a few minutes ago, quite upset.

Of course, this begs the question that starts with: we knew he wasn't trustworthy, we knew he was already slapping the bishop. Why was she letting him use my laptop in a way that she had to walk around to see it? WTF happened to Using the computer that displays on the TV?

    *sigh*

I must say, the internet has changed everything.
