I can't stand when I'm told wearing pink or purple makes me look "gay". I think both colours look good with my complexion and wear them proudly.

Big vehicles with single occupants also anger me.

I hate it when people say to me "didn't you hear about the dress code--it's summer, you don't have to wear a tie."

    Thanks.

People ask me why I bother to "dress up" (which is a good oxford and some khakis for my daily routine) and I just say that I'm not dressed up, everyone else is slacking off.

Waking up feeling hungover when I haven't had anything to drink, just not enough sleep and because the AC dehydrates me.

Or the service is so horrible you walk out after waiting 40 minutes and the appetizers have not appeared yet...heck, the bread had not appeared yet. With the house only about 1/3 filled. Happened last weekend to us.

    Agreed.

Depending on the type of restaurant I may cut them some slack for having just opened.

Fine dining or higher priced places get no slack from me. If I'm paying that kind of cash is that you should damn well know what you are doing before opening those doors.

Small neighborhood family run places might get some slack as I know there must be a steep learning curve for them.

I dont frequent too many chains, but when I do I am completely unforgiving. If you cant get shit right, you shouldnt be opening more restaurants.

I do love this thread as it gives me a chance to voice my annoyances without my girlfriend thinking I am a grumpy bastard.

I cant stand idiots whose basis for things is just how much they cost, or what they can brag about in front of others. It reeks of insecurity and rather than making them seem more sophisticated just makes them look like twats. Even more hilarious when their statements would actually result in crappier results.

I was talking to this dumbass last night who was telling me that he "only uses the best ingredients for everything", and that he uses filet for his steak and ale pie... Filet would actually be worse as it lacks the connective tissue that breaks down with slow cooking. Not only is it a waste of good money and good meat, but it would result in some tough ass meat in the pie.
