Hm. Am I beginning to see an unfortunate pattern? Think on that and you'll know what I mean.

I forgot to bring deodorant on my trip to China. It has been a short trip and it's not like I'm a hairy beast so the past two days of business meetings haven't been a big deal, but now I'm getting ready to fly home and somebody next to me isn't going to be happy after 20 hours of travel.

I'd go buy some but I couldn't find any in the Watson's near the hotel and I can't just use any d/o because many of them give me a rash.

    :fu:

Have a little donut but no wrench to remove the bolts. Plus I haven't changed a tire in ages though I recall it being quite easy the last time I did it. Anyway the driver was here within 30 minutes and changed the tire for me. Home by 11:30pm :)

I am a lousy swimmer. Can't do lap swimming for crap. Keep telling myself I need to get private lessons, but without private pool and laziness, this seems like a big deal.

A few lessons can do wonders, even just getting someone to video you swim will show you what a spaz you look like and help to get things under control.

One thing to remember is that minimising resistance to the water is more important than getting power out of your strokes. This means maintaining a long slender body shape (most great swimmers are tall and slim hipped) You can't change your body but you can keep your limbs close to your centre line and stretch out your lead hand as far as possible. Keep your legs together and don't beat the water with your kick. As your trailing hand comes up and out of the water drop it back into the water as it gets to about your ear and shoot it out in front as you stroke back with your front hand and kick. Try to visualise your lead hand shooting out and separating the water molecules and your body gliding through that hole. Then glide glide glide and repeat. Long easy strokes, don't churn the water glide through it. Of course there are many other things you can do to improve but this is something that will instantly help you improve.

Watching people work at Duane Reade is like watching a horrific car crash in slow motion.

So I was dreaming about work all fucking night. Not like the fantastical shit you have in dreams but like... I need to fax this off, oh the phone is ringing! So i went through a full day's duties while I was sleeping. And I woke up a few times during the night and the dreams started up again!

I guess that compensates for sleeping on the job?
