i left a medium sized list of easy things to be done while i was away. the guy who was covering for me had 4 days to get it done. when i opened up this morning everything looked exactly as i had left it, save maybe 1 or two things. one of which was done wrong, and it will take more time to undo and redo it right than had it just not been done at all.

I got tricked into shopping with my wife yesterday... she sechs'd me in the morning then took me to brunch. She even drove. Before you know it I was pushing shopping carts full of shit -then loading into the car (rinse repeat) and realized that I was duped into doing xmas shopping when all I wanted to really do was sit and watch football all day.

It was a whole fuckin day too - 9am-10pm of driving around SOHO (uniqulo/moscot/EMS/REI/ect) then to queens (rego park century21/toysRus/ect).

She had the whole day sneakily planned out... it was basically me driving around in circles in SoHo looking for parking then picking her up loading shit into the car, then finally finding parking pushing shopping carts/carrying baskets at a packed store. I was actually relieved to go to Queens because of the easy parking at one centralized shopping center.

I was looking at all the shit we bought too: its all available on amazon/internet with free shipping. I could've helped her shopped online for all that shit while watching an awesome day of football.

I think a crucial difference for him is he has/had the option, you not so much.

I had the option of checking the Pats-WSH score on my phone while holding a place at the cash register line - or sitting in the car parking in a "no standing zone" and listening to the game on radio.

I love my wife... but I hate the indirect way women deal with situations like this... if she told me the night before that we'd be shopping all day I would've dealt with it easier... Like bracing yourself for a punch.

Eh, if you gotta go, that's a pretty good way to go.

Presumably, so that they could buy and carry home more stuff.
