Have carpal tunnel. :fu: At least worker's comp will cover bills. Seems like everything is trying to be done to prevent me from joining the service.

assholes on the road who drive slow and then when you change lanes to go around them they speed up just enough that you cant go around them. what the fuck man??!!? you were driving slow and youre gonna drive slow again, so let me pass your slow ass car and get on my way.

i know this is a terrible thing to do, but im glad i drive a pickup truck to work. a few little nudges into their lane and they always get the fuck out of my way.

Had an hour long meeting with my boss in his hot office while I sipped hot tea. I soaked in there and now I smell like stale sweat.

    Re: run-flats.

Guiz, yes, yes, you have to change them, etc. Wasn't the post about getting a flat in a bad neighborhood and having to get out there and change it? That doesn't happen in run-flats. That's the point of them for me. If it's raining or 110 degrees...I don't want to get out to change a fucking tire. If I'm in a bad neighborhood or on my way to an important meeting in a good suit...I don't want to get out to change a fucking tire. Etc. You do not have to respond immediately to a flat. That's the point.

Douglas, $300? Mine are $600. I also know you speak truth they do not want to patch run-flats. I found out the hard way. :( Pro-tip: get the tire insurance on your leased car.

Do you keep a chicken coop filled with bresse in the back of your pickup truck? It would be funny if you did. Just imagine all of those feathers flying out the back as you drove.

From the ever shrinking, ever distorting of avatars by the SF mods it is clear they are not wanted, accepted, or condoned. Maybe if they were advertisements they would be proportioned better? Klein International Blue it is.

Haha, maybe I missed some background. I am not usually in terrible neighborhoods, though I agree it sucks to change in, say, a snowstorm (true story - in my M3 I got a flat on my way into work one morning. I wasn't wearing particularly nice clothes but I didn't have a winter coat or gloves, so there I am, changing my flat tire with raw, near-frostbitten hands, on the side of a country road, when a snowplow driver whom I will someday hunt down and kill rolls by and for jollies whitewashes me, literally knocking me over in a barrage of wet, filthy, heavy snow).

Anyways, according to the folks on MC, I'm never wearing a nice suit anyways.

As for $600 tires - OUCH. Glad I don't drive a big luxury Merc, just a poor man's entry-level Bimmer for me. And it's not a company car either :(

Anyways, I guess my point was flat tires suck whether you have run-flats or not. I'm personally unsold on which is preferable, all things considered.

to top the whole fucking thing off, it turns out that she has pneumonia, and could have had it for 2 months, so all the problems she has been having this year could be a result of her being sick and irritable. so, it pisses me off even more that the first thing the teacher thinks about is that she is crazy. [/quote]

It could be a problem with that particular teacher...

Very intelligent children tend to be more frustrated and in your face than their peers and some teacher struggle with that kind of behaviour...

Being sick must have contributed to her cranky behaviour..

People are too keen now to put a tag on very youg children after reading an article in the last Cosmopolitan...

We went from an era of total dismissal of mental issues to an overload of information creating makeshift internet specialists.

Being clever at such a young age is not always a blessing..

    Two things:

    1. Bank reversed a provisional credit it gave me after one of its ATMs failed to give me the money I requested. Reason was "lack of evidence." Guess what geniuses -- I don't have any evidence because the ATM cancelled my transaction.

    2. Have to work part of Friday and part of the weekend. :cloud:

serious question about run flats.... if they continue to run, how do you know you would have had a flat and that you need to change your tires?
