Illegitimi non carborundum.
It's tough out there, just keep on trying.
L.R., sorry to hear about your misfortune.
Pissing me off is that I've apparently put on four pounds.

Eat more salad, eat less sausage.
I just found out that a good friend's brother killed himself and his six-year-old daughter.
The brother/niece thing is horrible enough, but it seems like death follows this guy. He also lost his dad last year, and his sister before that, though I'm not sure when she died.
Good luck, L.R.
...this is kind of funny and kind of annoying. One of our disciplinary tools for our son is to take away things, and right now he has no electronics privileges: ipod, laptop, Wii, DSi. Last night he brought a letter home from his teacher explaining how it was okay from him to bring his ipod and speakers to school for some group activity. He was asleep when I got home, so I read the letter and laughed, because this isn't the first time he's used some outside authority figure to try and get his restrictions lifted, and it's not the first time he's sold it under the guise of a group benefit (will he be wearing earplugs? I doubt it).
I woke him up this morning, and as I was leaving for work I chuckled and told him that I'd read the letter and that I will not be told how and where he gets his privileges back, and shame on him for misrepresenting to his teacher that he has use of his ipod. Some day I will break him of this side-door strategy. At least I'm able to chuckle about it.
HOLY HELL I am sorry to hear this.
