This thread has taught me that there are two constants in the world:

    1. Neo will complain about monday
    2. IS will complain about his job

I think one of them is the brains and the other one has a bunch of money from her prior marriage and is funding the operation. The latter of the two (the attacker in that story) shows a lot of signs of some kind of drug problem. The other one is reasonable by female standards and I've gotten the impression before that she's embarrassed of her partner.

Got into an accident. 100% my fault. And to top it off, it was with my mother's minivan. It's totaled. Other vehicle involved seemed to fair better. Driver was pissed. He didn't appear to be hurt. I'm praying he doesn't sue. I feel like a worthless piece of shit though. When I saw his airbag go off my world stopped. I climbed out of the car to help him and he wouldn't even look at me. I don't feel like driving ever again but everyone (including the very understanding and consoling police officer) told me that it's just a phase and in a few weeks I'll get over it. I usually don't drive fast/reckless. Amongst my friends I'm known for being the "grandma". I don't know why I chose that moment to be careless. I did learn my lesson though.

Is this your first accident? It will be alright. This is why you have insurance.

you can't stop driving or else you'll lose your confidence. You can take it easy, but don't stop. It sucks that you had your first accident, but I'm glad you're alright, and you should be too. Don't worry, your recklessness isn't that bad; I wrecked my mothers new 70k car, knocking down a light pole. Not just hitting it, it actually fell over. Thank god it didn't fall backwards, or I wouldn't be typing right now.

This. You'll relive it and kick yourself for the next week or so, and then you'll realize that these things happen. Be glad you're insured and that no one was killed or seriously injured.

Exactly. I've only been in one accident (thanfully not my fault) and I was a total wuss for about 2 months afterwards. You just have to get back out there and try not to let it phase you too much.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I know I'll get over it soon and the important thing is that no one is hurt and that I will learn from this. Just need to get behind the wheel again and exercise greater care.
