so i got back last night at 1am and fly out tomorrow for a three week trip, which i'm actually kinds of excited about, there will be a lot of work but it will be easy so that's good. And the cities I will be in are nice so it will be cool in that regard but I just hate having to take shit out of one suitcase, then put it in another. then i have a bunch of stuff to do this afternoon to get ready for the trip. oh and i left my cell phone charger in Dulles.

At least i have a half day today.

My iPod Touch's battery keeps getting worse. And it doesn't help that my mother hasn't gotten me the iPad 2 she promised.

Ugh. Why even bother with the female help of the house. Go straight to father, he controls the finances anyway. At least, that's what I hope happens in your family.

My mother was easier to emotionally blackmail ...

On the other hand, my dad couldn't give a shit...

He used to give us our Christmas present a month in advance ...

my dad is a pretty well known/respected defense attorney in my hometown. He just represented someone and got on TV 'hopefully' out of context and said something pretty silly. Now, as far as defense atty's go, he is 100% the one you want, and if his theory was rediculous, all the better.... but its been hard to read all the comments on the websites reporting on the story....

Edinatlanta and Lasbar, you are the last two people on Earth I'd go to for family and/or financial advice.

Maryland's BS redistricting exercise has me down.

Also - I'm exhibiting at a trade show and the fair management has completely f***ed up the internet service. Usually this show has a wireless connxn but this year they decided, without telling anyone in advance, that they were going to go wired. So I showed up as usual expecting to set up my wifi access the day before the show. They told me it would be wired and that I should wait by my booth (on set up day, after I was set up) for about two hours til the tech could get to me. Well, I waited six hours, bugged them several times and they insisted he was coming, then finally we left and no dice. Today was the first day of the expo and we asked again; they said one was coming. Nobody showed. But someone in a neighboring booth said they did get an appt and that the tech said it was too late - they couldn't run wire to booths in the center of the hall because all the carpet was down and booths were up etc. So it looks like no internet at this f*cking show, which runs 9am - 6pm for 4 straight days so I can't really get anything done at all while this thing crawls on. :fu:

If you have a smartphone why don't you just tether it to your laptop?
