I would schedule the meeting 5-7 so that it was done in time to make it to dinner.
Ironically, the only time I eat dinner in the 5-7 window is when I am working late (since the company paid food usually arrives around 6:30-45).

If you go to a restaurant at 6pm in NYC you will be alone. I know a few places don't even serve dinner until 6:30.

I went out last night with some friends to sit on the beach by our house and have a picknick and drink some wine, with the kids playing in the sand. it was really perfect, but then one of the guys and me started getting on politics somehow, and the whole thing got really bad quick. so I feel really bad about it, but I don't think that it will be easy to get over. it was funny how fast it happened, and how it went from one thing to another. he's a criminal defense lawyer, and is very much invested in the idea that criminals shouldn't be punished, and he is very pro-underdog. anyway, it is what it is.
