I'm trying to read up on grammar to submit some writing samples. Is it me, or are there all sorts of contradictory and nebulous rules? The proper use of that vs. which is making my head explode.

One is apparently this wolf thing that people in afghanistan use to hunt with, but its probably some weird half dog thing, I can't remember what the other 2 are. He said he's friends with some hells angels or something and he got his first one because one of them caught it and gave it to him. I kind of doubt they're wolves too. Yeah he seems well weird. He manages a pretty big venue in Cambridge and I'm gonna be loading and unloading sound equipment and lighting and stuff from trucks and setting stuff up. Yeah he seems pretty weird. I went to a bar to meet my friend and he was sitting with him and I just assumed he was a random hobo talking to my friend because he looks pretty rough. I was complaining to my friend about not having a job because I was in town handing in CVs and then he said he manages the venue and to come in on Tuesday to start. Pretty weird day.

    That's some bullshit man.

I'm really pulling for ya on this. Also, I know the courtesy would be to exit gracefully as to not burn bridges, but I can see an exception for your case...

I spent a solid week on vyvanse getting ahead for the semester so I can coast for the rest of it. I got weak. All of my lifts were down ~20lbs today.

It isn't that difficult but it is also worth remembering that language is our way of dealing with incredibly complex abstract things and being able to manipulate them and convey them precisely and concisely with anyone who shares the same language so there will be times where language is by necessity, very challenging.

What always pisses me off about it though is the rigorous codifying of language when... it is all fucking arbitrary. However, sometimes I do wish I could just become a descriptivist and let the rules fly out the window but I just can't do it... :satisfied::embar::foo:

This OP must have watched "Dance with wolves" and had forgotten taking his Dekapote yesterday...

Uhg, the wife found a picture of an ex I forgot to throw away. She is very pissed off and hurt. I'm not even sure I want to go home from work. I wanted to say, "hey at least she is not naked," but I refrained. It was more of a city scape of Chicago picture. I was on my old block of Montrose in the winter. The girl is covered from head to foot in a coat.

I guess the wife had asked me to throw this photo away while we were dating. I just don't understand why she is so upset. I wouldn't care. I did actually forget. Don't get married, it's not that fun really.

    Awesome.

I was actually worried we'd go a week without an SF member in the proverbial doghouse.
