Thin Wool V-Neck Sweaters

Is there anything out there that is either better or cheaper than the Brooks Brothers Thin Wool V-Neck Sweaters? Jos. A Bank has some for 1/3 the price, but the fit is very poor.

We have a pretty nice assortment of Valentino merino wool sweaters that run slim (and a full size smaller than the tagged size) - they're $39.99 - $49.99 - a great value:

I'm confused:

Sleeve from shoulder: 26.5"
Length from bottom of neck: 27"

How is there only 1/2" difference here?

Not sure I understand the question. The sleeve length is taken from the top of the shoulder seam where it meets the arm - not from the center of the neck. Does that help clarify?

The Saxxon one is lighter and alot softer than the merino. a little more expensive too though.

but at 40-50$ Although I haven't tried them, I do really like valentino and trying not to pull out my credit card right now

J. Crew is cheaper, fit is decent, they won't last as long but they're $40 on sale so I live with it.
