Lucky NY. I hope he uses his feet and head rather than his hands. Could be great for MLS. Unless, it's more for his wife shopping on Madison. Will be nice to see him in Toronto. Was so talented and still some talent left, especially at MLS speeds/defenses.

Thierry Henry has always been my favorite player and was really my introduction into soccer. Now that he's in the states, I will make it a point to go watch my first MLS match live.

Forgive me but I'm not that familar w/ soccer. But does that mean he's on the downhill since he's coming to the states to play?

His first game is probably going to be against Tottenham next week. Given his history with Aresenal that should interesting.

Eh...pretty much.

But a player of Titi's caliber at his age is still >> 90% of MLS talent out there.

I look forward to seeing him play in MLS and I hope he can continue the trend of very talented, albeit aging, superstars of coming over to the US.

Yes. But he will still be the best player in the league by a mile.

Jesus. I guess the NYRB and Adidas have never heard of minimalism when it comes to their kits.

Beckham had (maybe still does have) ability but wasn't the right guy to bring over to the states to get Americans excited in soccer. Beckham ability is that he can put the ball on a dime with his crosses and set up other players to excel. This works well with a good club, but when you're making these passes to guys that can't control it, get open in the first place, or do anything with it, Beckham's not going to be much of a factor.

Henry can create much more on his own than a guy like Beckham and is a much more deadly scorer. He can put the ball in the net by himself and still has pace left so a guy like him who isn't just a setup guy should be alot more fun to watch.

Wrong. Big names have come over before, often with minimal impact and zero motivation. This is just another one of those garbage moves until proven otherwise.
